Ode to Jun Kaneko - SOLD

by Cindy Weil and contributors

Jun Kaneko is a prolific immigrant Japanese ceramicist living and working in the US. Through his powerful large-scale sculptures he explores the effects of geometric surface design. Kaneko has influences an entire generation of both American and Japanese ceramicists. When this black and white blanket arrived in the studio, I could not stop thinking about Kaneko’s early work and the interesting effect of giving 3-D form to a flat graphic design.
